Architectural Designer

The Role
  • Ability to work both individually in a self-directed role on smaller projects as well as working in a continuously collaborative environment on larger project teams under a Project Lead.

  • Ability to develop design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats to express the design intent and communicate to project team and client.

  • Must be able to develop design and document for a variety of project types for each of the design phases. (restaurant, hotel, residential and other)

  • Collaborate externally with engineers, consultants, and regulatory agents as needed with oversight from Project Leads.

  • Assist in Construction Administration, attend OACs and site visits respond to RFIs and review submittals, substitutions and field conditions for conformance with design intent.

  • Understands the technical implications of design decisions and is able to contribute to the development and documentation of buildable, well thought-out details.

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program

  • 1-5 years of related hotel or restaurant project experience

  • Proficient in Revit, Autocad, Sketchup, Enscape and BIM 360

  • Proficient in Bluebeam and Adobe Suite 

  • Strong and versatile design knowledge and aesthetic

  • Robust interpersonal skills to convey design intent and direction
